种杂阿含经：佛告比丘：”彼天帝释于三十三天为自在王，而常恭敬众僧，亦常赞叹恭敬僧功德。汝等比丘正信非家，出家学道，亦当如是恭敬众僧，亦当赞叹敬僧功德。”
The Buddha told the monks, “Indra, the king of 33 heavens, is powerful among men and gods. Even he venerates the Saṅgha, and respectfully praises the qualities of the Sangha. Then how much more should you, monks, who have left home to train in the path, venerate and praise the Saṅgha.”
阿含经中讲述天帝释,在家与出家学道者应恭敬僧、赞叹僧功德。
Saṃyuktāgama Sutra has explained that Indra, lay practitioners, and monks ought to be respectful of Sangha community and praise their qualities.
